Today was fairly interesting, in a good way of course! At work we had another Whataburger session with William Basset, and man do I love this guys voice. The script today was like poetry:
When you walk into Whataburger and say, “Double meat with cheese, grilled jalepenos, crispy bacon, extra pickles and grilled onions on Texas Toast with mayo instead of mustard,” we know what you’re up to. And it’s not just whistlin’ Dixie. No sir, you’re making a date with your dream burger and we gotta say…You are one lucky fella.
What’s funny about this is that we were discussing the script having a gender bias, until we agreed that no self respecting woman would order the described burger. Regardless, it got me hungry. There was also talk of Luke Wilson coming into the studio today to record a voice over, but of course it never went through and will probably book tomorrow when I’m gone. Bummer city :(.
After work though I headed over to Studio 563 photography to meet up with Andy Peterson, a wedding photographer I met at the gig Saturday. He showed me the studio, and I met another guy named Joseph Laughlin who I chatted with for a bit. Joseph apparently just started working there, and we discussed possibly getting together to shoot sometime. His stuff is pretty awesome, you can check it out here. It’s always nice to meet more photography people.
Finally, today’s photo was taken right around the corner from Studio 563. Joseph and I were discussing street photography, so I decided to pull out my camera on the walk back to the car and get a few shots of downtown. I love this city more and more everyday, especially the people I’ve been meeting in it. I hope these kind of things keep happening on a daily basis!
